Anand Sudarshan
CEO & MD, Manipal Education

Anand Sudarshan heads education business initiatives of Manipal Education & Medical Group, a leading player in education & healthcare in India. He is based in Bangalore, India. Prior to his current position, Anand was President, Adea International (a wholly owned subsidiary of Adea Solutions, Inc, Dallas TX), responsible for all global (non-US) business of the IT Services & Solutions company. Anand had taken on this position after successfully leading Netkraft Private Limited as CEO to a merger with Adea Solutions, Inc in July 2004. Netkraft/Adea International is a CMMI Level 5 Company.

In 1989 Anand co-founded The Microland Group and for about 14 years he was part of the team that built it into one of the leading privately held Indian technology companies. At various times, Anand was responsible for defining the strategy & technology roadmap of the group, establishing the infrastructure services business, and managing its software company as CEO.

From 1985 to 1989, Anand served in several capacities at Computer Point India Limited, a pioneering computer retail & training chain. Anand started his career at Nelco, a Tata Group company, in June 1984.

Additional Professional Activities
Anand has served as a featured speaker at a number of industry business and technical events in Asia, Europe North Africa and the United States. He has been a regular author at leading trade publications and was named as one of the top ten stars of the Indian IT industry by Dataquest, a top Indian IT industry publication.

Anand is also a participant as lead assessor & jury member in quality initiatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), including the prestigious CII-EXIM Award for Business Excellence, the Indian equivalent of the Malcolm Baldridge Award. He is an Charter Member of TiE, IFPUG member, a Life-member of the Computer Society of India, Jury Member of Polestar Foundation & CIO Awards, and is an active member of CII.

Education
Anand has a Bachelors of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, University of Madras (earlier known as the Regional Engineering College, Trichy), and a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
















 
Chandrasekaran
Corporate Advisor - MEMG International

Mr. Chandrasekaran has a very rich and varied experience especially as a mentor to the technology companies in the software arena. He is the founder Exec Chairman of the technology start up-- Impulsesoft Pvt Ltd, a provider of short range wireless solutions. He has served as a Board member being the founder Director of Aztec Software and Technical Services Ltd providing services to the Data Mining market and as a Corporate Advisor to Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd. He has also worked as the Executive Director of Aditi Technologies Pvt. Limited.

Currently Shekar is also involved with 3 I Infotech Ltd of the ICICI Bank group as an advisor, and is also a member of the India Advisory Board of SiRF Technologies, a NASDAQ listed US corporation which recently bought over Impulsesoft P Ltd. Till recently he was also associated with the VC industry in India as a member of the Senior Advisory Board of ChrysCapital, a large Private Equity player. He also serves as a trustee of F.A.M.E. India, a charitable organization that works with mentally and physically handicapped persons.

He is one of the prime movers and was instrumental in establishing the MBA program for working software engineers at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and is a member of the advisory board for this program. He was a member of the core group formed by the Government of Karnataka to assist in setting up of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. He has also served as Industrial Advisor from the World Bank to the Tanzania Investment Bank.

Shekar’s other professional activities include his stint as the CEO of two industrial undertakings forming part of Aluminium Africa Limited, Tanzania and the Indian Tube Company, Jamshedpur where he began his career in 1971.

Shekar holds a BE degree from College of Engineering, Guindy and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.



















 
Shriniwas Joshi
Chief Financial Officer - MUL

Prior to joining MUL, Shriniwas was working with Bharat Shell Ltd, Mumbai for the previous 6 years and his assignment at the time of leaving was that of Vice President – Finance, IT & Company Secretary, as well as the officiating head of business. He started his career at Boots India Limited in 1983 and has worked in various companies like Cadbury India Limited (which included a 15 month stint at London) and Tata BP Lubricants Limited. He has a total experience of over 23 years.

He is a Fellow Company Secretary (Institute of Company Secretaries of India), and a Fellow Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India).
 















 
Nishith Mohanty
Sr. Vice President – Human Resources(HR), Manipal Universal Learning
Pvt. Ltd.

Prior to joining MUL, Nishith was Head – HR of the Bayer Group of Industries in India reporting to the Managing Director and to the Director Corporate Business services responsible for the total HR of the four businesses (Chemicals, Polymers, Pharmaceuticals and Crop Science) spread over the country.

He has an overall experience of 24 years in this field and has the achievement of planning and executing various HR & ER initiatives at HMT, South Asia Tyres, Max India & Britannia Industries Ltd.

Nishith holds a Post Graduate degree in Personnel Management & IR from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Nishith works on various HR projects pertaining to of the Manipal group.














Madan Padaki
Co-Founder & CEO

Co-Founder and CEO, Madan is an engineer from the National Institute of Engineering, University of Mysore and an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research. He has had stints with Wipro Corporation, Infosys Technologies and BFL Software (now EDS Mphasis).

An active speaker at many forums, specifically on topics pertaining to Assessments, Talent Pools and Employability Enhancement, he is the author of several articles on HR and Employability which have been published in leading publications in India. He is also a well-recognized expert in the field of assessments and talent pools, and the media often quotes him in their reports. He serves on the Governing Council of DOEACC (Ministry of IT, Govt. of India) to evaluate IT education in India. He is an active member of NASSCOM, CII, TiE etc.

















Murlidhar S
Co-Founder & COO

Co-Founder and COO, Murlidhar is a mechanical engineer from NIT, Suratkal and an MBA from IIM, Lucknow. He has had stints with organizations like LandT, Asian Paints and Birla 3M. He handles sales, service delivery, finance and HR in MeritTrac. He has been extensively featured in articles on entrepreneurship. He is an avid reader of ancient history, archaeology and space science.




















Mohan Kannegal
Co-Founder & CDO

Co-Founder and CDO, Mohan is a Production Engineer from NIT, Surat and an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research. Mohan has had stints at LandT and Citicorp Overseas Software Limited. At Citicorp, London, he was responsible for global support for Citibank's imaging product.

At MeritTrac, Mohan is responsible for Account Management, Test Development, Delivery and IT Platforms. Mohan is also the co-author of a very well received eBook A Beginner’s Guide to Recruitment.
